Rescue Reveal – Animal Ambulance

Happy Little Bubbles!

At a visit to a local Flea Market  the other day, I was lucky enough to meet up with some of the utterly fabulous people from Animal Ambulance.  At their stall, they had with them one of their long term resident dogs – Bubbles.

BUBBLES – so soft, so sweet, so gentle. Oh, the temptation to rush back and get her!

Oh my, what a cutie-pie Bubbles is.  I would have taken her that minute if I had space for another animal.  She has been there for about a year now, still awaiting a suitable “forever” home.  She is just the sweetest, gentlest character you could possibly imagine and I fell instantly in love with her.  I’m such a complete softy!

BUBBLES – the cutie pie!

I shall be doing a visit to Animal Ambulance as soon as possible and simply cannot wait for the opportunity.  They are based in Pretoria, South Africa and rescue abused and sick animals.  They are a Pro-Life organisation and treat all the animals as part of their family.  Animals are not left outside or in cages/kennels.  The animals get to experience a true “home” feeling, roaming the property and sleeping indoors (well, maybe not the donkeys but certainly the cats and dogs).

BUBBLES – the sweetest, friendliest little face!

Animal Ambulance is a 24 hour emergency centre for the abused, sick and, whenever possible, those animals on death row at other shelters.  The people I met are warm and friendly and clearly adore animals.  Their very first response to me was “come through and visit us, you’ll love it and immediately know what we are all about”.  Any organisation that keen to have you visit is clearly doing a great job.

Look at my tail go. I just want loves and cuddles.

As with all Pro-Life Shelters, the more animals they can adopt out, the more they can take in and help.  Anybody looking for a real little cuddle-bunny should seriously consider Bubbles, or visit Animal Ambulance to choose from hundreds more.

  1. She does look cute. If only they could all get good homes.

  2. Bubbles!! OMGoodness. What a perfect name for a perfect little girl! I hope this is the PR she needs to find a new family. Good luck!

    • I know – I fell in love with the name as much as with her. It suits her perfectly. Yes, let’s hope she finds a great home (before I give in and cram yet another pet into this place – where, by the way, I’m not supposed to have any!!)

  3. Bless Animal Ambulance for the good work they do in South Africa and Bubbles would clearly be a fabulous addition to ANY forever home!!

  4. Oh Bubbles is such a sweetie 🙂 Like you,if I had the room I would have all of them 🙂 xx00xx

    • I know – it’s so hard to walk away. My Mom was with me and she fell instantly in love. Maybe I can convince her to take Bubbles (although she swears she doesn’t want to be tied down by another dog at her age). Sure I can use the drip process to get her to give in. 😀

  5. Great post! And Bubbles is adorable 🙂

  6. What a great job they do and Bubbles is so cute. We hope a forever home is found soon. Have a fabulous Friday.
    Best wishes Molly

Oh, sweet Bubbles you are just the cutest little thing. We love your black ears. We sure hope you get a loving, forever home real soon. Hugs and nose kisses

    • Isn’t she just a cutie-pie. Problem is that photographs can’t show their personality and that was what really got me with this sweetheart. I’m sure someone will come along that will see the same great qualities I did. I’ll pass on the hugs and nose kisses – thanks.

  8. What a wonderful organization Animal Ambulance is…..bless them. Bubbles is adorable and I can EASILY see why it was hard not to take her home – let’s hope someone ELSE comes along soon and does that though!

    • Animal Ambulance are doing a fantastic job! Can’t wait to get out and see the property myself. In the meantime, best someone realise just how sweet and gorgeous Bubbles is, before I give in and try to cram her into this zoo here 🙂

  9. OMD! Bubbles is so adorable!! It is unthinkable that that cutie has been looking for a home for a year! So sweet. I sure hopes a good soul will take her home soon.

    Kisses,
    Ruby

  10. Bubbles is adorable, I can’t believe anyone could pass that face and not fall in love. She looks so happy that I hope she has her own home soon:)

    • She really is adorable. Pity photographs can’t show personalities properly, because she is just so sweet! I’m sure her perfect home is waiting for her somewhere. In the meantime, at least she’s safely in a pro-life shelter, getting love and attention.

  11. Oh, what a sweetie. She’s to far away from here, but I’m sure there’s someone just like her in our shelters’ in the Netherlands’ to be rescued 🙂

  12. Bubbles is precious & the ambulance sounds like a great organization.

    Oskar

  13. She is adorable, can’t believe she hasn’t gotten a forever home yet. Hopefully soon.

    • Amazing how long some animals wait for the perfect home. She really is such a sweet personality, I find it hard to believe she hasn’t been snapped up already. In the meantime, at least she is in a great place, with love and time.

  14. I wish, I wish, I wish…we could have a dog and that I would LIKE a dog..given I am even scared of other cats, not likely we will get a dog. But that Bubbles, so cute! pee Ess did you receive my questions for Lady Litchi?? just checking

    • Hi Savvy, yes, I know you’d be too scared to get a dog. Jangles, my adult rescue cat here, is not a particularly keen on dogs either. She was terrified of Litchi to begin with but a few years down the line now, she has found a balance with her. Bubbles is such a gentle little thing that she’d probably be great with cats but, then again, without seeing her with one, it’s difficult to tell.
By the way, yes, I did get the questions. Sorry I haven’t answered them yet but promise I will get around to it very soon.

  16. I hope Bubbles finds a home very soon – it’s so sad that so many beautiful, affectionate dogs still don’t have their forever home – good on you for helping spread the news!

  17. They sound like they’re proud of what they do – can’t ask for anything better than that 🙂

  18. Sounds like animal ambulance is doing a great job! Weird, how such a cute and friendly dog like Bubbles still has no forever home? 😦

    • Always amazes me when such sweet, gentle, loving animals end up waiting so long but I’m sure her perfect forever home is out there, waiting for her. Lets hope it’s soon, otherwise the temptation to try to cram her into this zoo of mine is going to get too great 🙂

  19. Run A Muck Ranch

    What an awsome org!

  20. Hey Lady Litchi, Hey Sabre, Hey Boks, Jet here. Hi Miss Susan.

OMD, what an amazing place Animal Ambulance is. We’re crossing paws and fingers Bubbles finds her forever home speedy quick. Thanks for sharing their good work. 🙂

    • Anyone looking to adopt a dog would be mad not to fall for Bubbles. What a cute name, what a cute personality. She’s the perfect example of a great rescue dog. In the meantime, at least she is in a great place, with love and time.

  21. You know, Bubbles is probably in the right place. As an ambassador for Animal Ambulance attending their public appearances with that cute little face and nature of hers, she probably tugs at many heart strings, and ‘pulls’ at lot more to actually adopt… 🙂

  22. Bubbles is just adorable! With a name like Bubbles how can you go wrong?

  23. Wow, a whole year and no takers for this sweet little doggy!? I cannot believe it! Her eyes can melt anyone…I do hope for a forever home for Bubbles…SOON!! 🙂

    • So do I. She is so very sweet. Photos don’t show the personality and that’s what’s really great about her. I’m sure the right home will come along. Just takes a bit of time. At least she has that, being with Animal Ambulance.

  24. How lovely is Bubbles!! I will keep everything crossed that a forever home is found soon!

  25. It’s so wonderful all you are doing for the “babies” I’ve awarded you Blog of the Year: http://maryannemistretta.wordpress.com/2012/11/26/blog-of-the-year-award-1-star/

  26. Oh Bubbles has captured my heart already! That sounds like a wonderful place – thank heavens for organizations like this!

  27. I hope Bubbles finds a home soon, love those black ears 🙂

  28. Don

I can certainly see why you fell in love with Bubbles. What a beautiful dog.

    • She really is and I wish that photographs could show her personality better – she is such a sweetie. Her “forever” home best come along quickly, before I’m tempted to go back and fetch her – which I simply cannot do (3 cats and a dog in a place with a “no pet” policy is already pushing my luck a little too far)

  29. She is cute. I am always amazed at the dogs that end up spending a long time at shelters. I would have though she would have been snapped up.

    • If photos could only show personality better, you’d be even more surprised that she hasn’t yet been snapped up. It is sad when they have to wait this long but at least she gets to stay in a loving place and, sometimes, travel around as an ambassador. Could be worse.

  30. I think that name is just so fun “Bubbles”. What a cutie with the Black ears and white face. I hope she’ll get a beautiful home. Bless the folks who are helping these little souls.

  31. She is adorable. It would be hard to resist her. It breaks my heart how many pups and cats need homes. How wonderful they all are. I hope she finds her forever home soon.

    • It can become somewhat overwhelming, the amount of animals in shelters needing homes. Bubbles is such a sweet dog – hard to believe no-one has snapped her up yet. I’m sure with a bit of marketing, she’ll find her forever home soon. I really do hope so.

  32. why is the poor thing still at the shelter? I really hate how people treat animals in this world. I do hope she finds her forever home soon!!

    • When you meet her and see her personality, it really is amazing that she is still in a shelter. At least she’s in a wonderful one and gets to travel around playing “ambassador” a bit. It could be worse but we are all hoping she finds a perfect forever home soon.
